The American Tour Golf Schools Difference:
The Golf Lesson and Instruction Regimen
What makes American Tour Golf Schools different is the length and focus
of the golf school’s lesson and instruction programs. Many golf
schools are resort-oriented affairs geared to fit within a long weekend
or, at most, a vacation. At American Tour Golf Schools, the golf academy
programs run from one day to two months. ATGS resident students stay in
nearby apartments, while the non-resident or workshop students commute
to the school daily.
Tailored to fit all playing levels
The programs at American Tour Golf Schools will benefit players of all
ability levels. Daily training regimen is tailored to meet the individual
needs of each student, thus assuring that they will achieve the best
results for the time they spend at the school.
The Golf School's Low Student-Teacher Ratio
A significant difference between American Tour Golf Schools and
other golf schools is the level of individualized golf instruction.
Other golf schools boast of 5:1 student-teacher ratios; at American
Tour Golf Schools, the ratio can be as low as one-to-one. Each student
receives an in-depth evaluation of their game after which an individualized
golf lesson program is prepared and the instructor works as hard
as the student to help each individual reach his or her goals.
Student Golf Instruction CD/Video Storybook
Upon completion of an American Tour Golf Schools resident program
(2 weeks and up), the ATGS student will receive a video tape or CD
which captures footage of their swing, time spent on training aides,
personalized golf instruction for swing changes, and a checklist
of areas needed to work on for continued improvement. To clarify
the golf lessons even further, instructors will add voice-over commentary
to the tape or CD with their own on-screen graphics to emphasize
critical areas of the student’s training.
A Holistic Approach to Golf Instruction with Professional Consultants
American Tour Golf Schools takes training to the next level with
a holistic approach to the mind/body training of our golf students.
Available to resident students is access to a team of professional
consultants who support the mental and physical aspects of our extended
golf
teaching curriculum. This
approach includes addressing the student’s mental focus (Performance
Insight); vision/aiming (Charleston Eye Sports Vision); and the body
(Body Balance for Performance).
Technology
American Tour Golf Schools utilizes an array of high-tech training
devices designed to enable students to measure and achieve their
optimum performance levels. Our Golf Technology Center includes the
Swing Dynamics® Ball Flight Monitor, Putting Monitor, and Swing
