in the United States.”—Golf Digest. American Tour Golf
Schools, located just 20 minutes north of historic Charleston,
is based at Charleston National Country Club. Although
it is independently owned and operated, its students can take advantage
of the facilities at Charleston National, including the golf course
and fitness center.

How pure are our two championship courses, Panther Lake and Crooked
Cat?

- Golf Digest
Pure enough to be named by Golf Magazine as "One of the Top
Ten Places You Can Play!" Pure enough to host the 2003 PGA
Tour's Q-school finals. So come out and test your skills on the
courses
that test the world's best players. But don't worry, whether
you want it "tour" tough or "member-guest" easy
you can choose as much or as little course as you like. Four
sets of
tees ranging from 7295 yards to 5094 yards allows you to choose
the length that best suits your game.
Panther Lake Course was the first course ever designed to feature
18 signature holes and showcase the native beauty of the Florida
landscape. It accomplishes this feat in spectacular fashion.
The sheer variety of the holes will astound you and make you
think
you are playing golf on holes that are continents, not yards
apart. The
course incorporates rolling hills with up to 60-foot elevation
changes as it winds through natural oak hammocks, pine forests,
scenic wetlands
and glistening freshwater lakes.
Crooked Cat Course offers a strong compliment to its
sister course, Panther Lake. Crooked Cat has its own unique characteristics
giving the player the choice of playing two very different
courses
in
the same day. Designed with a distinct 'links' flavor, its
open and flowing
design features few trees, wide terraced fairways and native
heather grass in the rough. This design gives the player
an experience reminiscent of that found about 3000 miles to the
east in the
Scottish
Highlands.
With large sloping greens, steep grass and sand bunkers,
lots of native vegetation, and 50-foot elevation changes, Crooked
Cat offers
a true test to golfers of all skill levels.
Tooth (Executive 9 Hole Course)
Need an emergency nine after
playing our two championship courses? Just have a little
time to kill before
you travel? Then check out the Tooth! Like our entire facility
there is nothing you would call ordinary about the Tooth. It is
in the same great shape
as our regulation
courses and provides exactly the same type of challenge
albeit on a smaller scale. It is a great place for players
who like
to work
on their irons or those with only enough time to play
a quick 9 holes.
